Silom is the central business district in Bangkok. Most commerce and banking are located here. Silom is next to the chao praya to the west. Silom also has the infamous night market Pat Pong 1 and 2 with many nude shows. There is also the Lumphini muay thai stadium in the district.
2. Sukhumvit
Sukhumvit is the farang(foreigner) gheto in Bangkok. Everything here is modern and well functioning. Sukhumvit is the place most business traveklers frequent. There are many good hotels here. There are many restourants which mostly serev foreign food. The side soi's (side streets) serve thai food and there are also the very thai street food stalls. There are many adult entretainmebt venues in the area(soi cowboy, nana plaza)

3. Banglhampu is the backpackers residence. The main backpacker place is khaop sarn road road with cheap guesthouses and imitated goods. The area also has numerous sights(golden palace) and the chao praya river. Thammasat university is here. There are many scammers in the area.
